Last month I ran a national roadshow about online marketing. Working with AVAPM and Bayer, we had a seminar in every capital city with a room full of vet clinic team members. The topic was how to get online marketing working for the clinic and the audience was keen to learn and hungry for more.

We covered how to get more new clients and how to help existing clients look after their animals better.

Key learnings were:

  • Invest in your own website rather than other online services
  • Measure what you do - for instance - measure how many phone calls your website generates (and we went through how to do this)
  • Focus on 2-3 key tools - choose the ones that are working and put effort in there. For most clinics they are email, web and Facebook.
